The primary function of the Kevlar Escape Necklace is for use as a friction saw to cut through non-metallic restraints when restrained to the front.
There is no preparation required (knots to tie etc.) ...
- Feed one end of the cord through the restraint until it reaches one of the knots.
- Place the foot loops over the toe part of your shoes or if barefoot between the big toe and increase the tension of the cord so it positions itself
on the lower part of the restraint to avoid friction injuries.
- Now move your feet in a slow pedal motion and gradually build up speed.
- The heat from the friction will burn through the restraint.
- For oil treated natural rope such as hemp (or if submerged under water) little or no friction will be generated; however the knots will cut through the material.
Tip: For silently removing cable-ties and nylon rope you do not need to use the cutting knots. Keep within the two knots to keep the noise to a minimum.

The primary function of the Ballistic-Striker-Bead ®is to impact and destroy tempered glass using kinetic energy and force to aid rescue from a vehicle via the side or rear windows.
Concealed inside the plastic breakaway connector the Ballistic-Striker-Bead is hidden until you require it - https://www.ballistic-striker-bead.com/
To deploy:
Pull on the cord either side of the breakaway connector to pull apart. The Ballistic-Striker-Bead is seated inside the female part.
Simply slide the plastic female part down the cord and past the first cutting knot whilst holding onto the end of the cord between your thumb and forefinger.
The Ballistic-Striker-Bead will eject from the connector. Slide the Ballistic-Striker-Bead to the diamond stopper knot.
Now wrap the cord around your hand and leave about 12 inches of cord hanging free with the Ballistic-Striker-Bead on the end.
Swing the Ballistic-Striker-Bead towards the glass - The hardness of the Ballistic-Striker-Bead (Hv30 1750) exceeds the core hardness
of armour-piercing ammunition (Hv30 1450) , so you only need a small amount (1.2g) to deliver the 'impact, energy and work' to destroy tempered glass on the first strike!
You can use this to escape from a car or rescue persons from a car (the friction saw will cut seat-belts).
To close the connectors simply push and twist them together by hand.
